Common questions
Where does the data actually live?
On your own infrastructure. The service runs as a Cloud Run instance (or a VM) in your account, media travels peer-to-peer between teammates, and transcripts and the attendance log are written to your own storage. There is no external meeting provider in the loop.
Is it really free per seat?
There is no per-seat licence. The only cost is the compute it runs on, which for a normal team rounds to a few dollars a month — so adding people doesn’t add licence fees.
How do the virtual backgrounds work?
Each person picks their own — a blur of their real room, or a branded company backdrop. It keeps everyone’s home off-camera and every call looking on-brand, and it’s applied on their own device.
What’s in the daily attendance report?
First-in and last-out times and total hours present, per person, logged automatically from when each person joined and left rooms — no timesheets. The manager gets yesterday’s report each morning.
Does it work on mobile and behind flaky Wi-Fi?
Yes. There’s a mobile join path, automatic reconnect if a connection drops, and a fallback so a miss doesn’t strand you. It behaves like a paid tool because it had to for our own team.
