Case study · 3D Warehouse Visibility

Know what is where before it becomes a shortage.

A live, rotating 3D model of every site: each item in its place, colour-coded by freshness from bright green to deep red, with partial pallets, overfilled racks and reorder pressure visible the moment the model loads. Built on the ERP you already run - no migration.

The problem

Nobody can walk fifteen warehouses in their head

A big operation can run a dozen or more warehouses, every one stacked with palletised stock - and somewhere in there is product quietly ageing toward its expiry date. The data usually exists, but a spreadsheet of expiry dates is almost impossible to feel.

So stock ages toward write-off in one site while another runs short, and the first anyone hears of it is when it is already money lost.

What we built

The warehouse you can actually see

A visual, interactive 3D model of the warehouses: a rotating layout showing exactly where every product sits, across every site. Each item is colour-coded by freshness on a smooth gradient - bright green for fresh, shading to deep red for stock that needs to move now.

"What is languishing, and where" stops being a half-day investigation; it is obvious the moment the model loads - along with slow-moving overstock, partial pallets and overfilled racks - and it feeds weekly spoilage and reorder alerts.

What you see

Your whole floor, colour-coded

Open the 3D view above and the warehouse renders exactly as it is today. Every pallet is shaded on a green-to-red freshness scale, so the stock to move first is obvious before anyone reads a single number.

Age-coloured pallets

Green is fresh, red is ageing out. The freshness scale is your own thresholds - so "sell this first" is a colour, not a calculation.

!

Partial pallets, flagged

Striped pallets are part-full - the ones consuming a whole slot for half the stock. Filter to just those in one click.

!

Overfilled racks

Sections above rated capacity are outlined in red, and the camera can fly straight to the problem rack.

🖱️

Click any pallet

Product, production date, age, packs on the pallet, fill level and barcode - the full story of one pallet, on demand.

🎨

Filter by product or age

Isolate a single SKU, or show only pallets older than six months. Everything else fades so the answer stands out.

🏭

Rack and floor layouts

Multi-tier rack storage or product lanes on the floor - the same view maps whichever way your warehouse actually stores stock.

How it works

From your ERP to the racks, in the browser

The 3D view is one report on the same engine that already turns your legacy system into live cost and profit intelligence. Nothing gets replaced.

1

Reads your live stock

A gateway reads current pallet, location and production data straight from the ERP you run today - no migration, no re-keying.

2

Pre-computed overnight

A nightly job builds the heavy aggregates, so a warehouse of thousands of pallets opens in well under a second.

3

Scored by age

Every pallet is measured against your freshness thresholds and shaded green to red - fresh through to sell-now.

4

Explored in 3D

Rotate, zoom, filter and click - right in the browser your team already has. No plugin, no CAD, no training day.

Why it matters

Colour by age, and first-in-first-out runs itself.

When the oldest stock is the reddest pallet on the screen, "what do we ship today?" stops being a debate. Floor, sales and finance are finally looking at the same picture - the real one, refreshed on your schedule.

Built on the cost-intelligence platform

One engine behind your costs, your profit and your stock

The 3D view is not a separate tool to buy and integrate - it is a report on the same platform that already reads your legacy ERP and answers "what does this really cost, and where are we making money?"

🧊

Real-time 3D in the browser

Rendered with Three.js - the same web technology behind modern 3D on any device. No install, no plugin, no specialist hardware.

🔌

Reads your ERP in place

A data gateway reads your existing stock records directly, so the picture is current without ripping out the system you run.

Sub-second, at scale

A nightly mirror pre-computes the heavy work, so warehouses of thousands of pallets open in well under a second.

🎚️

Your freshness rules

Age bands and sell-by thresholds are set to your products, not ours - the colours mean what they mean in your business.

🔒

Read-only and safe

The view reads your data; it never writes back or moves stock. A clear window onto the warehouse, nothing more.

🇦🇺

Hosted in Australia

Your data stays onshore, every action is logged, and you work directly with the CFO and CTO who build it.

What changed

The outcomes, in plain numbers

  • Fifteen warehouses readable as one picture
  • Ageing stock cleared dramatically faster - capital unfrozen from the shelves
  • Write-offs headed off before the date hits
  • Bonus: the visual view surfaced accounting errors that had gone unnoticed for ages
FAQ

Common questions

Does this replace my WMS or ERP?
No. It reads from the system you already run and gives you a live view on top of it. We start where your stock and ERP software stops - on making what is on the floor visible and easy to act on.
Where does the data come from?
From your existing stock records. We map your locations, pallet structure and freshness rules once, then the view reflects your real inventory - refreshed on your schedule. The demo on this page uses synthetic data.
Is it real-time?
It is as current as you need. A nightly mirror keeps large warehouses opening in under a second, and we can refresh on demand or more frequently where it earns its keep - you choose the trade-off between freshness and load on your systems.
Will it run on a normal laptop or tablet?
Yes. It runs in a standard web browser - no install and no specialist hardware. If a device can open your dashboards, it can walk the warehouse in 3D.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is a fixed scope, quoted up front. Start with the AI Opportunity Audit for a costed plan; the audit fee is credited to your first build.
Why it matters

Could this be your workflow?

If your stock has a shelf life, or your sites are too many to walk, the same view runs on your warehouse data - and the heavy 3D loads only when you open it.

Best for · manufacturers, distributors, perishable and cold-chain operations

Have a similar workflow? Let's map it.

We start with a fixed-scope AI Opportunity Audit: we map where the hours and the risk actually are, then show you the one or two systems worth building first.
